It is such a pleasure and a privilege to style this much loved 1970s Swanson home nestled amongst the lush bush of the Waitakere Ranges.

Most people aren't able to visualize how a empty room could look. therefore staging is key in illustrating the potential of a property.   So rather than struggling over the layout and details of a space it allows buyers to instead start to connect emotionally with the home and begin to imagine themselves living there.

The gorgeous moss green velvet curtains have stood the test of time and are a testament to buying quality furnishings whenever possible.

It can be daunting investing in a statement colour and fabric like this but the palette can always be toned down if desired by choosing neutral colours for your larger pieces of furniture and adding colour back in with cushions, throws and artworks. 

The rooms in this house were all decorated with extremely well kept wallpaper.  I love the silver detailing in this particular one and found it rewarding seeing how it works alongside a contemporary style.
